The OPA3S2859-EP is a wideband, low noise ADR5040BKSZ-REEL7 programmable gain amplifier with CMOS inputs for wideband transimpedance and voltage amplifier applications. When the device is configured as a transimpedance amplifier (TIA), the 0.9 GHz gain bandwidth product (GBWP) enables high closed-loop bandwidth in low capacitance photodiode (PD) applications.

Three internal switched feedback paths and an optional parallel non-switched feedback path allow up to four selectable gain configurations. Internal switches minimize parasitics to improve performance compared to systems using discrete external switches. Each switch is optimized for feedback resistor values ​​from < 1 kΩ to > 100 kΩ for wide dynamic range applications. Use a 2-wire parallel interface to control selected switch paths for both channels. For each selected channel, the gain path can also be held constant by applying a latch pin, which then disables the switch control of the selected channel and prevents the channel from changing gain.
